Elizabeth Gerdeman’s new solo exhibition A Weather Eye is rich with meteorological explorations that are approached with a playful wit, compassion, and sense of wonder. Through mixed-media that is rooted in an expanded field of painting, Gerdeman offers multifaceted views of atmospheric conditions integral to the local landscape. Featuring a combination of individual and collaborative projects, the exhibition incorporates a selection of artistic works conducted during Gerdeman’s tenure as Artist-in-Residence during the 2024–2025 academic year in the Expressive Arts Department at Western New Mexico University.
