Seeing Nature Through a Different Lens
on view: May 17 – July 19, 2025

The Beeville Art Museum (BAM) proudly presents Seeing Nature Through a Different Lens, an exhibition featuring the innovative photographic and mixed-media works of Christopher Randall, show reinterprets nature through photography, collage, and hand-drawn elements.

Randall, a fine art photographer and former Houston muralist, brings his series The Painted Forest and The Lost Beach to Beeville. The Painted Forest, inspired by the Catskill Mountains and Blanco River, blends traditional landscapes with hand-drawn elements and urban imagery. The Lost Beach, created after Hurricane Bill in 2009, captures beachgoers against stormy skies. Randall removed foregrounds and backgrounds, creating surreal, timeless silhouettes.

Originally from Missouri, Randall has exhibited extensively since 2009, with solo shows in New York and works featured in the Texas National Biennial. His art has been recognized by curators from the Guggenheim Museum and The Met. The Painted Forest premiered at the Salomon Gallery in 2022, and his work has been shown at the Alex Ferrone Gallery and The New York Design Center. Randall continues to live and create in New York City.
