EXHIBIT/208 presents a show of color lithographs by famed New Mexico artist, Bruce Lowney. In 2019 Lowney passed away at the age of eighty-two. This show is a “recollection” of the artists own brand of poetic surrealism. His lithographs showcase his iconic command of this difficult medium.

Lowney, like so many others, was inspired by the southwest’s expansive vistas. As Bruce said, “the joy of seeing cumulus clouds going back over the hills, going back over the horizon as far as you can see, intrigued me as a idea of endless vastness, frightening in its ability to overwhelm, is a staple of the work.”
