Charles Parson Drawing is an art book focused on the intimacy of RedLine Resource Artist Alumni Charles Parson’s works on paper.
Sometimes sad and often joyful, the delicate graphite or cerulean blue marks on thin, white paper anchor the work of a prolific visual artist whom critics have most often described in monumental terms.
Copies of Charles Parson Drawing will be available for sale at the book release.
About the exhibition:
In conjunction with the publication of the book Charles Parson Drawing(LeapingMan Publishing), Charles Parson: Drawing is also a solo exhibition that celebrates the foundational element drawing has had in Parson’s wall-mounted works and the growing impact of the Colorado landscape on the lines and forms in his art.
This exhibition is curated by Charles Parson’s son, Collin Parson, artist and Director of Galleries and Curator at The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. This event is part of our RedLine at 15 exhibition program. The event has a five-dollar suggested donation.
