Artpace invites you to join us for the opening of our Spring 2025 Resident Artist exhibitions on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6–9 PM, featuring an artist talk at 6:30 PM. Selected by Guest Curator Jami Powell, artists Laura Veles Drey, Anita Fields, and Lorena Molina will debut new works created during their Artpace residency. The evening will also include a live Cumbia performance.

About the Guest Curator:
Jami Powell (she/her) is the Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs and Curator of Indigenous Art at the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College, where she also teaches in the Native American and Indigenous Studies Department. A citizen of the Osage Nation, Powell holds a PhD in anthropology from UNC-Chapel Hill.
Her curatorial projects include Form and Relation: Contemporary Native American Ceramics and Madayin: Eight Decades of Aboriginal Bark Painting from Yirrkala. Her co-edited volume, Reimagining American Art, is set for release in 2024. Powell’s upcoming projects include the first solo exhibition and catalog for Chemehuevi photographer and artist Cara Romero.
