About Kenney:
Arriving to capture the beauty of nature on a daily basis isn’t something oil painter Tim Kenney strives for, it’s something he has been doing for years now. Kenney has major roots in Santa Fe, New Mexico and has carried an affinity for the large aspen groves just north of town. Kenney has painted large six-foot and seven-foot canvases to express the breath of the forest and recently finished a canvas that is twelve feet high. Most often with a palette knife, Kenney uses large amounts of oil paint to carve out his subject and the combination of texture and color brings a complete vivid painting full of life. Tim Kenney has been awarded several accolades for his landscape work including Mayfair Artist of the Year and has painted to support many charities such as the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the American Heart Association. In 2014, Kenney went on a daily adventure across the United States and painted fifty paintings in fifty states in fifty days including Alaska and Hawaii. The culmination of this project finished in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This year, Kenney aims to paint 365 sunsets, each day. His dedication to his art form and his passion for seeing nature have tuned him to create a solo show of impactful selected works.
