Molly Zimmer: Hello, Dear Flower

Hello, Dear Flower is a love letter, welcoming the return of flowers in springtime. In this collection of fabric sculptures, collages, felt vases and garden-inspired wearables, artist Molly Zimmer assembles found textiles into larger-than-life clusters of flowers and insects. Her fabric arrangements transform garden scenes into a comforting sanctuary, bringing our memories into the home. Evoking joy, romance and nostalgia, these cheerful artworks form a kaleidoscope of hues and textures to highlight the relationship of pollinators and flowers, and to remind us how cultivating gardens is intimately associated with our hands, emphasizing the interconnectedness of humans, textiles, and nature.

A portion of the sales for this exhibition will go to the Xerces Society that protects that natural world through their pollinator conservation program, funding Pollinator Habitat Kits in New Mexico.
