Meet Publisher Lauren Tresp

Since taking over THE magazine a few years ago, publisher and editor Lauren Tresp has rebranded the publication as Southwest Contemporary and transformed it into several thriving offshoots, including print and online editions. Tresp will talk about how the staff decides on what stories to run and SWC’s overall approach to art criticism. The Wright Contemporary is an art space founded in 2022 by philanthropist Ira Wright and art historian/journalist Ann Landi. The Taos gallery is focused on art made in New Mexico by artists in dialogue with global art topics. The space presents six-week exhibitions as well as relevant lectures, panel discussions, and films, all free to the public. Open Wednesday through Sunday, 2 to 6 pm.
