Making Our Mark: An Exploration of Vandal Futurism
On view: September 23–November 3, 2023
Opening: Saturday, September 23, 2023

Curated by Anthony Garcia Sr., RedLine Resident Artist Alumni and Founder/Director of Alto Gallery and Birdseed Collective.

Join us for the opening reception of Making Our Mark: An Exploration of Vandal Futurism. This exhibition features local, national, and international artists who are leading contributors to the Post-Vandalism and Graffiti-Futurism street art and mural movements.

Making Our Mark honors and acknowledges that for many artists, street art, murals, and graffiti art functions as their first exposure to the fine arts. Though the genre emerged and is experienced beyond the confines of museums, institutions, and galleries, street art continues to claim a space that is accessible and inspiring to all.Making Our Mark seeks to highlight artists of the ever-evolving street, mural, and graffiti art communities that interact, challenge, and redefine the boundaries that exist between interior/exterior, inside/outside, and permission/prohibition—in both public and private spaces.

The event is free for RedLine members and a five-dollar suggested donation for non-members. Food and drinks will be provided at the event.
