September 16, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
An exciting multi-media art week celebrating Jennifer and Kevin Box’s Origami in the Garden begins on Friday September 16, 5-7 pm at Kay Contemporary Art. The artists will present a talk at 6 pm. The show remains on view through September 30.
The long-awaited Santa Fe premiere of the Origami in the Garden feature-length documentary film will debut at the Jean Cocteau Theatre on Thursday, September 22. This film has been winning awards and touring film festivals all over the world and now it is finally returning to the land where it was created! Santa Fe filmmakers, Barbara Bentree and John Rangel, are bringing the story of Jennifer and Kevin Box with a red carpet celebration. There will be two screenings: one at 5:30 pm and one at 8 pm with a no-host cocktail reception in between screenings.
Finally, the Turquoise Trail Sculpture Garden is the home and sculpture garden of Jennifer and Kevin Box, nestled in the Little Garden of the Gods on Highway 14. With towering rock formations encompassing the 3-acre sculpture garden, visitors can meander through a distinct southwest landscape discovering sculpture along the way. TTSG is only open to the public during the artists’ participation in the Turquoise Trail Studio Tour—the last two weekends in September, 17-18 and 24-25 from 10 am-4 pm.
