Juana Estrada Hernández: New Works

The work in Estrada Hernández’ upcoming show at Hecho a Mano pays homage to her Mexican culture, drawing on visual references from Mexican traditions, foods and language. It’s both recognizable and deeply personal—while the imagery and emotion conveyed by her work engage a wide audience, it also illustrates the different ways Estrada Hernández herself maintains a link to that culture and her ancestry.
