Japanese Bamboo Art

The world’s premier gallery for contemporary Japanese bamboo art, TAI Modern, will exhibit important historic and contemporary works of Japanese bamboo art against a backdrop of contemporary American paintings.
Japanese Bamboo Art features works by bamboo’s most notable artists, including members of historic family lineages and contemporary masters such as Honma Hideaki and National Living Treasure of Japan, Fujinuma Noboru. This exhibition will provide visitors the opportunity to see a diverse selection of exceptional bamboo art.
Works by TAI Modern artists in this exhibition have been placed in some of the country’s most prestigious institutions, including the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the Art Institute of Chicago.
