Are you interested in learning a little bit about Japanese culture through flower arranging? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to arrange a slanting moribana arrangement, step by step. This is one of the beginners’ classes in any ikebana school. Join to learn about main lines, flower positions on the pin frog, and how to value negative space in the arrangement. It will be a relaxing time and help connect to Nature. You will go home with a vase, pin frog and your own unique art form!
March 29th, 1–3 pm. Let’s celebrate spring together.
Alice Fujita is Brazilian-Japanese, and is a Sangetsu Ikebana Instructor. She started learning Ikebana in Japan just for fun but fell in love with the philosophy and the therapeutical effects. She has been teaching Ikebana (Japanese Art of flower arrangement) in the US since 2018.
