Experiences of Identity

On view from February 18–April 12, 2022 at the Colorado Photographic Arts Center is Experiences of Identity–a collection of photographs from bodies of work by Priya Suresh Kambli, Vikesh Kapoor, Emily Hanako Momohara, and Rafael Soldi.
Today, more than 40 million people living in the U.S. were born in another country. In this exhibit, four artists use different photographic approaches to investigate how immigration has shaped their sense of identity. Drawing inspiration from family archives and personal histories, artists explore themes of home, memory, loss, and the myth of the American Dream.
The opening reception will be on Friday, February 25th from 6-9pm. Please check website for up to date information on our COVID-19 policy.
And on Thursday, March 24th, a virtual Zoom discussion with the artists will take place. Separate registration for this special programming is required through CPAC’s website.
The show can otherwise be viewed during normal gallery hours. Tuesday – Friday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
