Joel Armstrong has been working in colored pencil as an art form since the early 80s, both as a fine artist and illustrator, and has a long exhibition history to match. Before moving to Silver City, he spent 14 years teaching drawing and illustration at John Brown University in Arkansas. His strong use of color and keen sense of design make him a great instructor. As students, you will be working on a still-life. You can also expect to learn about color theory, blending, and composition.
Students must be fully vaccinated.
