Contemporary Artists’ Films in New Mexico

This afternoon of art films is presented in partnership with No Name Cinema and Devon Hoffman. In addition to the premiere of Hoffman’s feature film Immaculate Citadel, a selection of short films from New Mexico artists will be presented and then will be followed by a panel discussion with participating filmmakers moderated by No Name Cinema co-founder, Justin Clifford Rhody.

The artists featured in this presentation utilize video (both analog and digital) as a tool for understanding material, place, and identity. Devon Hoffman’s full-length endeavor is a sci-fi fairy tale rooted in regional histories and intergenerational timelines, while the short films presented by No Name Cinema expound on experimental notions from a variety of viewpoints.
