CasaAgua opens its doors for the 2025 summer season with a new soundscape by Jim Elniski in The TANK, engaging the acoustics of the cylindrical chamber, sited in the xeric terrain of “Future Garden.” Founded by artists Frances Whitehead and Jim Elinski, CasaAgua is part experimental art space, part water conservation demonstration site, and part gathering ground.
Run by a loose collective of erratic creatives and provocateurs operating under the paradigm of reciprocity and generosity, the project hosts short-term events and interventions that galvanize public dialogue around important issues for the Southwest.
The WaterWorks invitational art project series and commissioned cultural interventions, take place in and around The Tank, a repurposed galvanized water tank, situated in the Future Garden, a native, xeric landscape in the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
