Autry Macias: Solstice Spells and Yule Monsters

Good Folk is happy to present a holiday show by local artist Autry Macias. Known for her excellent drawing and painting ability, Autry has transitioned her graphic style into punched tin holiday ornaments.
Solstice Spells and Yule Monsters is a collection of punched tin ornaments to adorn walls and holiday trees, featuring creatures out of Eastern and Central European folklore and elements of ancient earth magic. These ornaments highlight the juxtaposition of light vs dark/ naughty and nice while exploring the pagan origins of modern holiday traditions and the spirit (and Spirits) of those holidays.
