In the Art of Botanical Perfume two-day workshop you will make your very own custom perfume while we explore how this ancient craft which holds seeds of Alchemy, Herbalism, Aromatherapy, and the Arts.
Our palette of materials is a selection of essential oils with an option to add infusions or tinctures. We will dive into modalities of blending with a focus on artistic expression. Each student will leave the class with a deeper awareness of scent and understand the key components of building a fragrance.

DAY ONE: We begin the two-day workshop with an introduction to perfume and its rich history while we explore olfactory awareness with our palette of essences.
DAY TWO: On day two we continue to explore olfactory awareness interspersed with learning about fragrance families & types & artistry. Students formulate their perfume.

TIME: 10 a–5 pm. We begin promptly and will have approximately an hour lunch break where students can grab a bite.

Arrive unscented. Be mindful of laundry, cosmetics, and bath + beauty products on this special day. We need to keep our palettes clear and free of odorants. It’s crucial that you arrive scent-free.
