Join us to celebrate the opening of the expansive exhibition, Armond Lara, presenting a wide variety of sculptural works, marionettes, works on paper, and more from one of the most important contemporary Indigenous artists in postmodernism.

Lara’s oeuvre presents biting, novel takes on popular figures in art and culture while his iconic, cast blue buffalo float above, reminding the audience of the violence from which the artist’s humor springs. This reception celebrates the first iteration of this retrospective’s display, which will shift before the accompanying artist reception taking place over SWAIA Indian Market weekend.
