SALES DIRECTOR
This is a new position that will oversee our direct sales and work closely with our distributor and warehouse to optimize trade and special sales. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be responsible for all of our domestic and international print sales and can bring new ideas for how best to structure this job. Even though we have outgrown our original model of fulfilling each order on a case-by-case basis, we will always want to connect with our customers and stakeholders in the most personal way possible.

WHO YOU ARE
You are a business development and sales leader with 3+ years of experience in creative, strategic sales, and operations, who can handle everything from Big Picture ideas to day-to-day details. You are a people person with excellent communication skills (writing, editing, verbal, presentation). You love art books and want to get them into as many hands as possible. You possess the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, while simultaneously maintaining a sense of urgency for a high-volume workload.
THE JOB
Ensure the smooth execution of all book sales and fulfillment via our website and any other direct contacts.
Liaise with our distributor for all materials related to our titles, from preliminary catalog materials to prompt delivery of finished books in the warehouse.
Help forecast print runs and work with our printer and binderies to ensure accurate timelines and delivery.
Monitor all inventory and update status of all titles in real time (including in stock, rare, and out of print titles).
Update and maintain all sales, inventory, and availability data on the Radius website, based on information from both trade distribution and direct sales.
Generate consignment agreements and ensure timely fulfillment for special sales to galleries and events.
Organize and maintain pre-orders in advance of publication, and generate/track direct orders and invoices.
Provide monthly performance reports for direct sales and distributed sales, and quarterly Board reports by title, outlet, etc.
Work with both in-house and freelance design, marketing, communications, social media, and photography providers to create direct sales initiatives to individuals, and to support similar efforts to vendors via our distributor.
Ability to travel for 2-3 art fairs and book fairs per year, as needed.
SKILLS
Required: direct and online sales/marketing experience, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, Squarespace, Square, Dropbox.
Preferred: experience in the arts, publishing, nonprofit, or design sectors a plus.
General: able to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
Salary Range: $50,000+, plus bonuses based on sales.
Benefits include unlimited PTO and health insurance.
