Job Summary
Granary Arts is seeking a dynamic and committed Manager. Granary Arts is a contemporary art space in Ephraim, Utah dedicated to exhibitions and education, and it serves as an anchor for artistic activity and community. Granary offers mission-driven programs, including gallery exhibitions, workshops, and community and cultural programming.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager will assist in the planning and facilitation of Granary Arts’ mission-driven programs, and manage the galleries and operations. This position is part-time: 4 days per week, Wednesday – Saturday, 9 – 5 pm, including periodic additional hours for installations/deinstallations and program events. (Some flexibility on daily hours.)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage galleries during hours of operation: W-S, 11 am-5 pm
- Greet and educate visitors about current exhibitions
- Build relationships with community members and partners
- Maintain and manage the physical facilities and office area
- Manage mail, email, and written correspondence
- Provide support for exhibition and cultural programming
- Coordinate registration and shipping of artwork
- Assist with de/installing exhibitions (3 times per year), extended hours
- Prepare for and attend event receptions
- Supervise interns and volunteers
- Coordinate workshop schedule and instructors
- Manage non-profit compliance (insurance, audits, permits, etc.)
- Manage employee and independent contractor agreements
- Track purchases and receipts
- Coordinate grant applications and reporting
- Compile program data, surveys, and statistics
- Attend Board meetings
- Assist with social media
- Assist with programs and events
- Assist Executive Director with special projects
