Creative Flagstaff is soliciting project or presentation proposals for the inaugural 2024 ARTx Art + Ideas Experience Arizona festival to be held May 17–26, 2024 across the city of Flagstaff.
The ten-day event introduces ARTx: Art + Ideas Experience Arizona to the broader community with multiple days of events, presentations, and art-centered experiences, building on the momentum of the pilot event in May of 2023.
This call is for participation from grant-seeking projects, individuals and/or organizations, as well as those looking to be officially selected as part of the festival without grant funding. All participants looking to be officially listed must apply. This includes established arts, science and culture organizations, mission driven organizations and others. We welcome this as an opportunity to elevate the vibrant community in Flagstaff, to cross-promote through engagement, activation and programming.
A total of $90,000 is available for grant allocations. It is anticipated that grant awards will range from $500 to $10,000, however these amounts will be defined based on applications and the jury. Prior year awards have ranged from $500 to $7,500. The largest awards are reserved for the highest impact and signature programming that exemplifies the festival concept. Proposal budgets must meet or exceed funding requested. Contributors may include their time on the proposal budget.
ARTx welcomes proposals from curators, mission-driven organizations, artists, thinkers, thought leaders, and collaborations. Proposals are welcomed from all over the world; however, a portion of funding is reserved for proposals from the greater Flagstaff area. There is no cost to apply.
