Gaia Contemporary was established in 2021. Located in the heart of the historic Canyon Road district, Gaia Contemporary focuses on sculpture, painting, jewelry, kimonos, photography, art furniture, and Japanese antiquities. The founders of the gallery, an American lawyer and his Japanese wife, have a deep cultural interest in Japan and divide their time between Santa Fe and Tokyo. Their affinity for Western aesthetics and Japanese minimalism was the motivation for launching the gallery. Through the interweaving of these two cultures, Gaia Contemporary offers a unique and fresh vision. The gallery's aesthetic is rooted in and inspired by contemporary minimalism. We exhibit artwork by nationally and internationally acclaimed American and Japanese artists. In addition to a vigorous exhibition schedule, gallery staff works closely with private collectors to build their collections.
