The North gallery at Light Art Space presents How Did I Get Here From There by Diane Kleiss. Diane, one of Silver City’s premier artists, paints and sculpts with beeswax, an ancient encaustic medium that she pours, carves, and molds. In her series “Flights of Fancy”, Diane explores her interest in ravens, inspired by their intelligence and curiosity. Drawing from cultural myths about women flying, as well as her own dreams, she created a three-part sculpture called “When Women Were Birds.” Her work continually follows new inspirations, guided by her passion.
